SOYMILK- For those of you who cannot drink milk

OK, this post is for those of you who are interested in Organics and Natural foods. The attached is strictly my opinion, based on my personal experience.

I have been off of cows milk now for approximately 1 year. I was having medical issues with muscle pains and cramps. I don't know why this switch made a difference, but it did. I was having to drink quite a bit of milk, because of the quantities of medicine I had to swallow. I still take quite a few medications, however with the switch from cow's milk, I feel better. I want to share with you what I found as a substitute for cows milk. I tried the lactose free milks and the rice milks, but I did not like them.

My family is now drinking Light Silk Soymilk in both Vanilla and Chocolate. The taste is good (OK, not as thick or rich as cows milk, but you get used to it) and it delivers calcium for your bones, 11 essential vitamins and minerals, anti-oxidants, ALA omega 3's and soy proteins. Silk is made from soybeans that are not genetically engineered. I buy ours from Wholefoods and Krogers.

I wanted to share this information,because I believe it has made such a difference in the way I feel.

Egyptian Magic

OK, the blogs and YouTube are all abuzz about a product called Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream. The product contains olive oil, beeswax and honey, among the ingredients. I love this product because it is natural and also, simply because it works. I have started using it at night on my neck and problem wrinkles. I wake up with skin that looks smoother than it has in a loooong time. This product also takes the itch out of rashes and helps them heal. This is my own personal experience with the product.

Apparently, I missed the buzz about this product when it was on Oprah. Better later than never. I have turned a few friends on to this product also. I would highly recommend this product. If your skin is dry, this is an absolute must try for you.

Favorite - Make-up Remover

If you wear a lot of make-up like me, then you need a good make-up remover before you use your cleanser. There is nothing worse than not being able to get your make-up off. It is unhealthy for your skin and keeps you proned to breakouts. I used to think my skin was really clean, until I started using a face wipe before cleansing.

Garnier Nutritioniste makes an awesome face wipe/towelette. The name is Nutri-Pure - detoxifying wet cleansing towelettes - oil free. It claims to instantly remove make-up, even mascara, leaving skin deeply clean & pure. It has B5, Vitamin E & Green Leaf Extract in the product. As you know I like my products to be natural if possible. I think this product is the best of both worlds.

I really like this product because it is oil free and I find it does get my face clean. For some people this step would probably clean without an additional cleanser, but I do use a face cleanser after, only because my face is extremely oily. I'll do a "favorite review" on my face cleanser & serums another time.

Haircare - Recent purchases

Here is a shout out to Blair/JuicyStar07 for her recommendation of several haircare products. I wanted to tell you my success story with the items and also add one of my own.

I tried Garnier Fructis Style - XXL volume thickening mousse. I used this product to just washed hair. It is absolutely wonderful. My hair was thicker & I was able to get more volume that stayed all day. When I blow dried my hair, I used the Conair paddle hair brush. This brush is inexpensive, but better than some expensive brushes I had tried before. I would highly recommend this brush. They also have a rounded brush and I am interested in trying it. OK, after my hair was dry, I sprayed it with Garnier Fructis Style - Full Control Anti-Humidity Hairspray - Ultra Strong. I like the smell and I thought the product worked very well.

My add on haircare item is Samy Fat Hair - Amplifying Hair Spray. This spray is awesome. I spray right before rolling and it gives my hair lift. I have a layered cut, so this gives just the right body. I don't go for much curl, just body. I have turned a few friends on to this product. I swear by Samy Fat Hair. They also have it in a travel size, so it can go with you :)
